Guys-
Contact Jack Gaydosh when you get a chance. My name is Jeff Bathurst and Jack recently built up a great 389 power plant for my '66 GTO. Also, we grew up in the same part of town and share stories about growing up there. Since I got my engine from him, we’ve been talking every other day about tuning, changes, etc. I spoke with him this morning. In the shop at his home last night, he had an serious accident with a drill press. The result was the partial loss of two fingers on his left hand…his little finger and his ring finger, both above the knuckle were severed off. He’s off work for awhile while he recovers from the accident. He could probably use a phone call from his buddies. I don't mean to intrude on his privacy...just thought it would do some good to hear from some of you. Jeff

RRM-
I asked Jack about reattachment. No dice...the damage was too severe to save the fingers.

I was pitted next to some Pontiacs a few years ago at Cecil County, Jack did not have his car, he was with some buddies, and I did not know him. He was very interested in my car, was later informative and helpful with some problems I encountered later in the day. After I could put his Name and car together, as to who he was, I was pleasantly suprised that a guy with a seven second car was interested in my stuff! Very nice Guy! We need more like him.

Two things come to mind...
1. Jack doesn’t use either finger to type with. 2. Some racers will do anything to lose weight. In all seriousness, get well soon Jack! |

Jack,
Very Sorry to hear about your accident. Shawn sent an email to the OPDS directors to let us know. If there is anything we can do, give us a shout !! If you need help collecting your "winnings" at this year's banquet, I'll be happy to carry the goodies for you !!! For those that have never had the pleasure of meeting Jack, he ALWAYS has a kind word and is ALWAYS upbeat !!! This will not keep him down for long. I'd expect he'd be back in the garage tonight if it was up to him. Tina has probably padlocked the doors !!! Jim

Jack, sorry to hear about your accident...I guess things like that could happen to any of us! Hope you are well...and hope to see you Sunday! Stop by and say Hi.
An aside...Jack was of great help to me by putting my cage in, and helping me with some ideas for my car. Great guy, always willing to lend an ear...even to us little guys! Thanks!
