Here's mine, pretty rough,long way to go. Maybe a little strange, 68 bumper on a 69 Lemans. The car had front bumper damage and I found a great deal on a 68 bumper (Thanks Steve!!). It's not easy gettin' that stuff straight and lined up. Limelight Green, 350, automatic, mild cam and Edelbrock intake/carb. Planning on a Rochester in the near future - lots of work in tuning...
I have 15" Rally wheels and going with 235/60-15 BFG or something like that.
Need some ideas and some more motivation! Gotta stay outta that loal tavern - those girls are killin' me!!
PS - I now have the new fender and the chrome bumper on it... more pics soon.

Here's my Lemans. 1 of less than 8300 made in 68. Kinda feels like the GTO's little red headed step brother sometimes huh?
Being the GTO gets all the kudos.
Someday I'd like to have a 455 in mine like goatless has.
Know a guy who has one sitting but cash wise I'm a long ways off being able to do a swap. Someday perhaps,,,,,
Bought this because it was in good shape and reasonabley priced. 350, 4 spd and 12 bolt posi were all very attractive too. Wanted a car that I could drive immediately and work on a little at a time. so far so good.

Sorry I don't have a more recent photo- haven't taken any recently.

Here is another green one I owned back in the mid-late 80's. Have posted it a couple of other times and could not resist this time. Probably had more fun in that car than any of my cars! 350 HO, 4-speed, 373 posi, indash tach and gauge package, center console.

Dennis,
Was there ANYTHING at all that denoted your car as a HO? I know you have the 350 emblem on the lower trim behind the front tires, but was there anything else? engine sticker on air cleaner? HO badge somewhere? Anything?

Also, do you have any pics of that engine bay?

Was it single snorkel over a Qjet?

Thanks Howard. Your car is a real beauty. I really like the chorme bumpers. I like being a little different as well.

Yes, the mismatched front end is intentional. I just wanted to use the combination of parts that I thought
would look good (to me). You can do this on a non-GTO and not lose any sleep. The 68 bumper is just more
trim and sleek looking, and coupled with the 69 GTO valance and parking lamps, it will really make my car
different. I have never seen one done like this. Piecing together all the parking lamp parts is expensive!
I don't think they could have designed them to use any more components! The rims are custom offset
Torq Thrust CL205's (basically a TT2 with a gray center). It will be out of the paint shop in two weeks, so I
will post more pics then.

I really like the look you've achieved with the combo you've chosen. IMO the 68 bumper is WAY sleeker then the 69 in a lemans or tempest. The 69 chrome looks more like a bonnie or big pontiac bumper. Just my opinion no insults ment to those who like em they way they came from the factory.

Hoping to gte mine running better this week or next. Timing issues that I can't fix and need to get my car into my bud's shop.

Oh, I gotta get in on this thread! I'm still enjoying the pics posted here, but wanted to add mine even before I'm done reading!










Before I bought this driver, I was thinking I might make a GTO clone. Now that I have my LeMans, I LOVE it and don't want to make it in to anything else. I do have many plans for it and already have a garage full of upgrades to make the 350 go a bit better (Qjet, cam, Th350 to name a few). But overall, I love this car! I just lucked into the year, and now have grown to like this year best (only year ever with crank vent windows to name one).

Anyway, I've always liked Pontiacs. Had a 72 GP with a Tri-Power many years ago. Now, after a 20 year rest, I'm back, baby!

Really clean ride you got there.
I like the extra touches, hood and spoiler, rims.
I bet you get lots of kudos on this.
Hope you've got seatbelts in the rear for the kids. Mine were missing when I bought it. Got some nice 4 point harnesses in there now. Kids like cruising but it is a bit windy back there for them. Sunglasses are a must as they help keep the wind out of their eyes as well as the sun.
