Its late and my eyes are blurry, not sure how much difference there are for Firebird Lower Door panels, I understand the uppers vary with material and pattern.
From my searching, it looks like the 70-71 std lower panel is repop'd though out of stock at PY. But I have a 71 Esprit with the deluxe/custom interior (PITA white comfortweave), which appears to have a different lower panel (includes a pocket with the pull). I looked at my 75 Esprit, and the lower panel is different from the 71, and a panel I have from a 76 Formula has the same (cept color) lower as the 75. Are any other lowers repop'd? What changes occured by year? And since I have the 76 panels which are black, and I've haven't yet dyed with rear side and sail panels (repops so they're black) maybe I be lazy and just have white seats, since the carpet and front plastic are black from factory. Woudlthere be any fitment issue, or are there any differences in clips/retention, the catalogues list several clip types, but I'm not trusting catalogues 100% Thanks and goodnight. KenB

The white is a 71 with deluxe interior
The camel/tan is 75 The black is 76 Needless to say, I'm looking for the 71 deluxe style, but is that one year only or? Thanks Ken B

The lower door panel is not being reproduced. Several of the catalog suppliers list having the part but it is not correct application. I believe it is the same as the camaro's lower door panel. The part number is the same for both the firebird and the camaro in one suppliers book. The part in the catalog is a hard plastic which accepts a padded arm rest in the middle of the panel.
Apparently the 70's all had the same lower door panel but sometime in 71 the standard interior went to the plastic part while the deluxe interior retained the padded vinyl. I believe Just Dashes can redo the part.

You're going to have to spend the big bux and send the armrests to Just Dashes for restoration. Nobody is reproducing the padded '70-71 armrests.
