Default Top end value?

The top end came off a 389 4-spd 65 GTO convertible with a WT block but the block has holes in the cylinder walls and is useless. The heads are #77 heads...driver side head has a date code of L194 and the passenger side is L214. The intake is a P4 cast iron 4 bbl intake and its date code is L214 and the Carter carb on it has the 389 5S tag on it but is froze up. I also have the manifolds that went on these heads, but did not grab the part numbers off of them. The heads are bare heads that would need new guides and such but they are in good shape. Any idea how much I could get rid of all this for as is? Thanks, Jason.

Is the WT block really a waste. Can it be welded and sleeved. All the parts with the matching block is worth a fair sum to the right restorer.

Those 4bbl intakes are plentiful unless someone is particularly looking for that date. And with the carb frozen, it's value may just be for parts. If the heads are good, they would probably be the only thing of real value (worth shipping). I might be a player on the heads alone.

The block had a cylinders that had holes broken through due to ice...the crank and everything else was locked in it also. I am not too sure someone would want to spend the money to sleeve that many cylinders (2 or 3). I would probably sell the heads since I have no need for any of it. I have them at the machine shop right now waiting to get picked up after being checked out. I will post this in the for sale section of the forum so if you are interested in the heads...please send me a pm. thanks for the input, Jason.

When I did the restoration on my '66 numbers car, I sleeved 3 cylinders. It was neither expensive or a big deal.
Maybe I am missing the boat, but I still think a complete matching numbers WT would be a good buy for someone.

I still have the bottom end but did not know people were going to these lengths to fix these engines. I would not be able to gaurantee the block as it is...don't know if there are any other cracks without sending it in to get checked out. I am not familiar with the pre-67 engines...what would a refurbished engine like this sell for if it were complete? Thanks for the responses so far, Jason.
