Need to get a driveshaft shortened and balanced. Only 2 places I found (A1 in Milwaukee and Don's in Kenosha) want $150-$200. Seems a bit high to me. I'm on a tight budget this year. Any of you locals know of a place that does this for a reasonable price?
Thanks!

Do a Google search for Tri Power Automotive in Libertyville. Talk with Mike. If he doesn't do it, Im sure he'll suggest someone. He has an amazing shop.

I know what you mean but alot of places now won't cut and refit a driveshaft they rather make a new one as its less of a problem ( shafts being bent , thin/rusty metal ) , my driveshaft guy has quit the business after 30 years and I have to have new ones made for the projects I work on .

Thanks for all the info guys.
I'm kind of at a standstill till I raise some $$ to finish the project. The way things are right now,I might end up selling the 8.5 to raise some $$ for bills!

Not in Il but they do great work reasonably.
Flamespray Machine Service 237 E Votaw St Portland, IN 47371 260-726-6236 Ask for Jack and tell him Nixon's Automotive sent you. He's done several for me and never a problem yet. Mike
