Does anyone make a 7" cowl scoop? All I find is 6" and 8". The 6" will work as long as I only go with a 1" spacer but I want to be able to try a 2" space so I will need an extra 1" in the cowl scoop for that.

Here is a link to look at......http://www.up22.com. Unlimited Products is the name of the company and they make a 7" cowl hood with a pin front. I can't speak for the quality or fitment as i have no experience with them but the dew people i have talked to were happy with what they recieved.

I have a 6" cowl on my 70 Bird. I have a victor with a 2 inch spacer and a dominator. No room for an air cleaner.

Stay away from Unlimited Products for fiberglass stuff,I've never heard even one single good thing said about that place.
Glasstek,VFN,Hairy Glass would be my choices,in that order. Call the Co.s and talk to them, very likely they can handle this, likely they can cut an 1" off the 8" tall scoop and glass it on the hood for ya'. Just might take some time, custom orders tend to be that way. ![]() Bret P. |

stay away from unlimited products. I bought two firebird doors off them and they were no good. they would not refund my money and were not usable. went in the trash. that was $400.00 plus down the drain.

Had to have my fiberglass guy split them between the inner & outer skins to add and remove sections just to get them square and to fit. |

When I bought my hood from VFN they only made two scoops that I considered for my application. The shorter one was not as long, but the longer one was too tall. I had them cut down the longer one to the dimension that I wanted on my car. They did that and then shipped it to me assembled.

I have used VFN & Glasstec. Nice fitting stuff.
You can have anything modified. Just cost money.
