Bob, I have a great guy in Wisconsin but probably too far away for you to consider. Paul at Fast has a good reputation and does great work in Indiana, again out of state however.

Sanford Fountain in Ellijay, Ga. is very good. But, again, a little too far for you. here is a sample of his work.

Call Ted at Trick Works in Pa. He is a really great guy that does awesome work and very meticulous. He has put a bunch of cars in magazines. He is doing my 66 GTO convert and also did this 57 Chieftain that made HHP Magazine. I believe he did work on Chris's car the owner of this site. If you need motor work then Spotts Performance is 15 minutes from Ted, they work together on other projects. Tell him Mazz sent you.

That is my wagon that was built by Trickworks. I am very pleased with the work and Ted is easy to work with. If I ever have another car restored I will be taking it there.

Who are the guys in Michigan who built that really beautiful 67 signet gold GTO that makes it to shows around the country. Its modified but nothing major. Could be one of the most beautiful showpieces in the country. My friend had a lot of work done by them on his GTO and they do some pretty cutting edge stuff.
Anyone know who Im talking about? |

one of the key elements in finding a great restoration shop is their ability to restore cars that they dont make any parts for..or very little..like say a 73 gto. many of the other muscle cars and shoe box chevies you can pick up a catalog as thick as a phone book and order everything you need new. doesnt take a brain surgeon to do that. but try restoring cracked plastic components that are dry rotted or radios and gauges that they dont repop and that no one rebuilds oem....things like that set shops apart.
