Looking for a 1964 Catalina 2+2
I am looking for a 1964 Catalina 2+2 . 2 door hard top in excellent condition , not a project but strong # 2 or better car. Must be a 4 gear car or 5 speed conversion. I would perfer a 421 over a 389. Colour is not really an issue, darker colour would be better, Must be a tri - power car. I will pay for the right car. I would take a 1963 but a 1964 is my first choice as the 2+2 option did not come out to 1964. Please email pictures @ firehawkconsulting@hotmail.com. I live in Western Canada and visit the states on a regular basis. I will give this car a great home as I have always wanted one and would like it in my stable with my other Pontaics.

Sounds like a tall order brother! 2+2, 4 speed, 421 tri-power in a dark colour?
The Catalina and 2+2 were built on the shorter platform, but came with the engine options as the larger Pontiac Bonneville model. The smaller 389 cu in (6.4 L) engine was standard in the Catalina, but not available in the 1965-1967 model 2+2's. All Canadian-built 2+2's were equipped with Chevrolet engines. 1964[edit] Pontiac offered the 2+2 as a trim option only in 1964. Most of the trim specifics were found in the passenger compartment. Without the 2+2 badges on the outside, it looked like the base Catalina. Standard was the 389 cu in (6.4 L), OHV Trophy V8, rated at 283 hp (211 kW) with a Rochester 2-bbl carburetor, and a 3-speed transmission controlled by a floor shifter mounted through the center console. A 4-speed was available at extra cost, as was an automatic. I will highly consider a 389 as I have a 421 in my garage. The car must be a 4 speed and I would also consider a 1963 Catalina. I am holding out for the right car, I have actually found the car it's just to get the owner to consider selling it. Thanks again. Shawn
