Not sure on the restoration or quality of engine? Anyone see it? Still buyer did good again! Pontiac buyers scored some nice trophies at a event that prices weren't inflated? Flippers got to be happy!

I was there on Friday and got pictures of this car. The car was a great car, but the motor could use some detailing (vary little), it has been run, real nice car, it should have sold for more. I tried to load a picture of the window sticker but it would not load.

Sadly, the original engine block was destroyed early on. However, a correct replacement block was installed at the dealer.
4:33 gears don't seem to be ideal as that motor would wind up too fast as experienced by the first motor that sploded.

Yeah I'm excited to drive it! Just getting to drive it to the trailer wasn't enough! Still would like to trade it for a 70 Lucy blue 4 speed.

Milt Schornack told me that GM fought the availability of that option tooth and nail...for that very reason.

Strangely, for 1967-68, I think Firebird Ram Airs had 3.90s - I wonder why? |

honestly...the 4.33s were NEVER meant to work with biasd-ply Redline tires...but were for factory race guys who would be bolting on taller racing tires...typically slicks. Milt Schornack was the "go-to" guy...or liason between Pontiac and the more successful racers who were lucky enough to get a factory backed car. Usually radio delete, no sound deadening and such.Chuck Henley's V car started life as one of these IVs. Anyway...he told me personally that the factory emphatically wanted that option omitted BECAUSE of all the warranty work it was costing them. It was,in fact, the inadequate oiling systems that fell short on these high-revving RA IV motors. Virtually ALL suffered bottom end failures at the crankshaft. High rpm issues tend to manifest themselves in the top end...dropped valves, broken springs or rockers and such. BTW...is this Bruno's old car are were all the Canadian RA IV '69s Verdoro?

Well the car will be at my house on Wednesday! I agree it needs some slight detailing under the hood.
