Well don't keep us in the dark man.......rusty? Bondo barge? Not an orig 4 spd? Was the owner not being up front in his AD?

I was a bit suspicious @ the price tag, I thought it was a little cheap for what it was purported to be.

The stupid sticker on the air cleaner lid was a sign of trouble! ;-)

Also the repop window sticker doesn't mention a Cordova top but at the bottom it mentions black as the upper body color which means it had a Cordova top.

I could have been a painted top if it says black on the tag.

Wouldn't it have the name of the black if it was painted? Starlight Black was for '70?

Anyway, it's a made-up window sticker so who knows what's up with those codes.

If it had a two tone it would list the full name like Diego said, Starlight Black, the official color name of a black Cordova top is just black. Trim tag would resolve that. And of course the real elephant in the room is the PHS dealer invoice.

1970 455s and 4 speed cars came with the 12 bolt "C" axle which was never offered with a 3.90 ratio. 3.07 or 3.31 would be correct

Car got even worse yesterday. Turns out a friend of mine bought the car and was EXSTREMELY disappointed in the car and it was originally an AUTOMATIC!. He got his money back but buyer beware, she will be for sale again.

I looked at the car on my way home from the shore when he was closed but even on my walk around I hated it. I didn't even care it was a stick because the car was a turd. Loads of bondo on the quarters and rusted floors an I'll leave it at that. Just had that bad feeling about it.

Didn't someone ask for a PHS to confirm the super rare stick?

Always get photo evidence of all codes or make a trip to view in person.

Fake PHS? No wonder your buddy got his money back. Now your talking intent by someone {but not limited to the seller} to defraud. Let me guess, the guy who just sold the car claimed he didn't know it was fake.
