Default Anybody in Dallas? Car for sale, may need checking

Hello all!

I recently became aware of a Pontiac for sale by a private party in or near Dallas, Texas. Found via craigslist. Few pictures, short and unhelpful description... you know, the usual. It might be a find, or it might not. I'd go look myself, but I'm from Minnesota.

Currently I'm in the process of contacting the seller, to verify the basics and see what else he's willing/able to tell me. If the guy sounds legit, I may be in need of someone to "be my eyes" and verify.

This wouldn't be a detailed inspection - more just a quick check to make sure it's at least somewhat as advertised before I go any further. (Asking price is only a few grand, so no major pressure!) If you had a way to send pictures, that would be a major plus.

I can PM you the details if interested. My biggest concern would be with the condition of the body; what pictures I've seen have me suspicious of various areas. The seller may just be a lazy photographer, or they may be avoiding showing that it's full of Bondo and covered in a cheap respray.

There's no pictures of the interior or under the hood, which would tell a lot. There's also some contradictions over what package the car is/was - but I'm not as concerned about that. My main goal is a straight, rust-free southern car. Things like matching numbers are of little concern to me on this.

Hopefully the guy calls me back! If so, I'll be looking for a bit of assistance :-)
