9 degrees here this morning and yesterday morning. All the current crop of weather morons are referring to it as “brutal”. 40 yrs ago next week, it WAS brutally cold around here: 23 degrees below zero brutal.

Heard this on the news just a little while ago. You must be up by Tug Hill/Watertown. I heard there were temps a lot colder than that up there.

Just north of Rome. Supposed to hit -20's again tonight and stay in the negative singles to teens through next weekend. Only good thing is when it's this cold it won't snow much unless the lake winds blow. 63" of lake effect in Redfield to our north.

Been around zero at nite the last few days here, cold, but doable. back in '83 we had -25 for several days....started using Mobil 1 in my engines, that's all I use. My furnace died on Dec 24th that year, -25 outside. Had to bypass the pilot flame sensor to keep the heat going until i was able to find a replacement.

We had 14 degrees here in Delaware this morning and yesterday was 19. I'm a snowbird and it's cold for me. My home town of Massena, NY was and is again today a -16. No idea what the wind chill is but I'm just glad I'm not there to feel it.

-12 degrees at 7am this morning my wife said as she drove to work.......I love being retired! I told my wife ill keep the house nice and warm for her when she comes home and have dinner waiting. !

Massena and that part of NY is dang cold! Got a good friend that lives up in that area. I believe he may be the only chiropractor in that town. Lots of good times snowmobiling up there.

I was stationed at Drum in the late 90s. First run at the unit was -20. Good times! Nobody really understands "lake effect snow" until you've experienced it.

Been in the mid-70s to low 80s here during the day, 40s and 50s at night all throughout the Christmas holidays.

Taking advantage of the fair winter weather to get a few things done on a couple of my project cars, it's been so busy all year at my work and it's been hard to find time to work on them.

This weather is a huge Christmas gift for me while I'm on vacation, one advantage of living in the southwestern US.

Sounds like the same weather as in my area (Phoenix area). Trying to finish the work on the front bumper so I can get my project car into the booth for primer. Might be able to paint the car by February weather permitting. (Crossing fingers...)

Good foot of snow in our big valley, snowing now, and they say a big one, 16-18" more to come. Was 6 below a couple nights ago. My house heater went out, waiting on a part. Wheee...

its going to be 36 degrees where I live today....thats Celcius.....just shy of 100 degrees fahrenheit.......I'll loan you guys some free heat if you send over some of that cold.....?

It's a bugger, but no big deal if you are dressed for it. The hard part is going to work and being dressed as a "civilian". Other than that, I've got clothes and boots that will keep you plenty comfortable at -40.
