Bastards probably talked with him and swiped it when he walked away? What a bunch of crap! Bet there were 2 of them, a look out and the wrench. Couple bullets would have been good!!!

Maybe that's a little bit hasty...
Perhaps some counseling first. .... Frank

Actually there is a better solution than one bullet each....
Mozambique drill..........google it. 100% effective.
Sorry to hear about this. People are effing pigs. It's an absolute fact. Incidents like this are the reason that we NEVER transport anything on an open trailer that we might have to leave unattended. Enclosed haulers are more difficult to tow, kill your fuel economy even more, and overall are extra work. But out-of-sight is out-of-mind. Hey, I know a guy............ I was in SA in the early 90s and had a buddy that had served with Mike Rousseau.

I agree. Until this happens these theiving POS will keep getting bolder and bolder. Its a game to these people. Our court systems just catch and release. I value my sh** more than their life. In todays society... the laws only protect them... not us

I took a set of new 421 pistons and Eheads to the recent Pigeon Forge event with a friend. I was nervous about leaving the parts without someone watching out . It's becoming too common for thieves to simply walki around and grab parts. My wife suggested taking the portable Ring device next time.

Imagine that lawless minded individual working on the wheel and he notices a red laser dot getting steady on his upper body. Not saying being shot over a theft is ok but sitting in a jail cell for an appropriate amount of time might give you opportunity to reevaluate.

I am certainly sorry to hear this...Nothing is sacred anymore. But curious, was his car in the show or in the parking lot?

I always hate to hear stories like this. But it's made worse when it happens to someone you know and someone like OMT. Hope this has a happy ending. Sorry for your troubles Jim.

So I assume he is now in a scramble to find a wheel to be able to drive the car? Just sucks

My understanding is someone there had a wheel & loaned it to OMT.

Just like it was back in the 1960s and 70s. Take your girlfriend to the movies, you come out of the theater to find your car on blocks with the mag wheels gone, tachometer missing, and Muncie trans missing. That’s why I NEVER took any of my cars anywhere that they were out of my sight. I carried a 2” S&W 38 5 shot J Frame revolver in my back pocket, too. I’m in my 75th year of life now. The only thing that has changed is that I carry a Glock with 17 rounds of ammo. I really feel bad for Jim. I hope the find the punks.

It never amazes me what people do at shows. I had parts and lit disappear at the Dayton Firebird show.
A beating with a steering wheel is way better |
