Default Low mile '67 GTO

Picked this up a couple weeks ago. The purchase of this led me to the '72 T/A that I recently purchased. It was a good week

1967 GTO 400/335 4 speed 3.55 open manual steering and brakes. 35,000 original miles... original paint and interior. Lifelong garage kept CA car. Probably one of the nicest unrestored '67 GTO's in the country.

Beautiful.

Definitely a keeper.

The ‘67 GTO has the most uncluttered and clean styling of all the GTOs in my opinion.

Another great score, congrats. Amazing that there are still cars like this out there.

Great score.
Is the color of the car Champagne ?

I did notice the smog equipment, obviously a Fremont car.
Surprised after all these years that is still on the car.
IIRC, California cars had the smog equip starting in '66.

The reason I asked about the color, is my '67 is Champagne, and I have only seen a handful in that color. Mine is Champagne/Parchment(Pontiac Plant)

Very happy you were able to get this car into your collection

Have fun.

I'm happy to say that this car went to a great caretaker and will remain in CA where it's always been.

I agree. I hate it when a real black-plate car goes out of state....or even worse, overseas!!

I am honored to have been able to add this pristine GTO to my collection. It is getting harder and harder to find California cars in California.... especially in this condition. It is parked safe and sound next to my blue plate SD455 .

Grant did an excellent job of bringing the GTO back to life and preserving its originality. If it wasn't for Grant... who knows what would've happened to this car. So many nice original cars like this are ruined because they fall into the wrong hands... but not this one. Thanks again Grant..

I agree. Some years ago on this forum a new member found and bought a real numbers matching triple black tripower '66 GTO 4 speed survivor and gutted it for an LS conversion/pro touring build. Sold off the drivetrain and never looked back. There are many out there with no appreciation of preservation of history.

Thats a shame. More money than brains and/or respect for a classic car.

The wrong hands would've added A/C.. disc brakes and a blue tooth radio to this car...

Untouched original cars are far and few between these days with everyone feeling the need to modernize them.
