Idle in Park
Hi guys,
I have ( as long as i remember) quite high in revs ( i guess 700-800 rpm) difference in Park than when i put it in Drive. This makes it hard to align my 2 bbl Rochester. Can someone explain? Thanks! '66, 2 sp, 326 Verstuurd vanaf mijn Pixel 7a met Tapatalk

Idle mixture screws should be adjusted for highest attainable vacuum/rpmīs in gear at 600 rpmīs, choke off, engine at operating temperature.
If that donīt cure the rpm difference in and out of gear, look for binding fast idle cam, vacuum leaks, clogged (lean) idle circuit or too weak springs in distributor. HTH |
