Yes I have tested them on the track, as well as alot of dyno time with them on different combinations. I have seen as little as 10hp and 12 ft lbs. on small blocks, to double that on big blocks. We have tested on the track, with just bolting it on picked up a tenth and a half, and 2 miles an hour, making 4 back to back runs.. The big blocks like the 2" version. I have been messing with these for a while, and they do work on most applications. Some combinations require additional tuning. What I have seen on the dyno, looking at how the engine takes fuel and where it takes the fuel with the brake specifics, the signal is much stronger, and in the higher ranges, which shows the engine richens up. Now if the combination is lean, it works out of the box. I had to lean out the high speed air bleeds a few sizes to make up for it, but saw a huge gain in the midrange and top end, seeing the extra power. I would say call Summit or Jegs, or go to High Velocity Heads website. Bolt it on, but if you don't see a big improvement, some extra tuning may be rquired. That usually goes for any other spacer as well, since the spacer just aides in manifold tuning. But the HVH SS works. Hope this helps.Let me know if you have any questions.

The spacers by Wilson Manifoldswilson manifolds seem to work pretty good too. I read that on some other boards. People picked up extra HP with the tapered spacers. I believed what I read so I bought one for meself.

What about on a dual plane like a RPM intake? Is there an advantage to using them on those or are they just good for single plane intakes?

I haven't tried the spacer on a dual plane, but it did give my 350 Pontiac with the Edelbrocks in the Vega a .45 e.t. boost. From 10.70 range to mid 10.30's before doing a little more tuning with timing.

If anyone is interested, we did some test over the weekend with a 1" HVH spacer that was made for the RPM intake. We made back to back runs compareing it to our 1" open space that we always run. There wasnt much difference in the two. Only about .03 seconds and .5mph. We didnt get a chance to change jetting yet. I dont think that there will be that much gained by the jetting. I do feel that the 2" HVH spacer would pick up more or by adding a 1/2 open spacer underneath the 1" HVH (its pretty closed off, not as open as I thought it would be, only about a 1" gap). I would like to test the 1/2 space idea this year but dont know if you will be able to.
