The latest issue of Pontiac Enthusiast has an article with a picture of a full quarter panel for a '68 Firebird hardtop. What's the word on 67-68 full quarters ? I really want full quarters for my '67 convertible bird.

I'd like PY to carry the OEM rubber grommets that Mr Gasket carries for the shifter and tranny arm holes (67 and up manuals). Part # 2807186.

Im sure its been mentioned in the past pages but here it is. CORRECT rear quarters for the 70-73 Fbody. The cheesebag quarters that are available now suck ass and are impossible to get right. Theres enough of these cars still in service and the majority need rust repair.

Would like to see you publish a book on Firebird restoration complete with pictures. I know HP books has one on Camaros. If you cant do that maybe you can convince someone to write one, or maybe one exists that I don't know about.

Heh...Yeah I recall the "ever snapping" door handle on my 79 Camaro. I stopped replacing after I was on the 3rd one.

Reference the post from Bob Kazian on Jan 23.
The 65 lucite. I just bought one on ebay with pitted chrome. The lucite was great for my driver. I used a feeler gauge to CAREFULLY separate the adhesive between the plastic and the chrome piece. |

However, a restoration book is a tremendous undertaking and requires several years of dedication for a quality book. Who has that kind of time? I would start a new topic to continue dialogue on this subject. --------------------------- Fool around, Get hurt, don't come crying to me.
