Was wondering if anyone has seen this color on a 69 GTO. I have a project car that was originally expresso brown then repaint a piss poor coat of black. Was wondering if anyone has seen this color on a goat and what they thought of it. Would like to keep it original, but kind of hard to resist going with carousel red on these cars. FYI it has a black vinyl top with parchment int.

There is actually a '69 convertible in that color not far from you. I can't remember the guys name but I'm pretty sure he lives in the Stamford area. Anyhow the dark brown looks good!

Don't know how many. I have a 69 conv Lemans that was originally Espresso, but was sprayed Carousel Red before I got it. I saw a 70 sport conv in the same brown and didn't like it. I'm going back red.

I'm not sure if this helps, but there's a triple (paint, vinyl top & interior) espresso brown 69 gto hardtop near my house. Car is pretty sharp, looks like black until you get up close.
That's about the only one I've ever seen in person besides one on ebay that was repainted carousel red. If you like the color, why not?

Thanks for the pix Gary. Looks pretty good! I usually don't worry about keeping an older car original but this goat appears to be pretty unmolested. Car is pretty plain jane: bench seat/column shift with non- ram air 400, but alot of original equip (carb, emissions, air cleaner, etc.) is still there so I thought maybe go the collector route for a change.

I don't think Expresso Brown is rare. When the cars were new, I remember seeing lots of them. A lot of them have probably been repainted different colors over the years. Personally, I like it.

Looks like my old car. Had one just like it in the early 70s in Michigan. Was a RAIV, 4 spd. still have a few pictures of it in an old photo album. Never seen another that color. Sold it and bought a VW beetle in 1973. Now have another one only red and not RAIV.

Expresso Brown hardtop in my area. Brown interior, poverty caps, original owner still has it. Has one repaint, but I saw the car before that. Pretty clean.

I'd repaint it a different color ASAP. That color has to go!
1968 GTO-Waiting restoration/modification once the 72 is done.
