Does anyone know of a wheel restoration company? I have a set of GM wheels I would like restored with the original "machined" look. I know there are companys that will spin them on a lathe, but I can't seem to find them.

I know of one in the Baltimore area. They did a nice job on my 15x8 Snowflakes in their "lathe". The rims had gotten messed up when the blasting company I used cleaned them with sand instead of glass or plastic media. I forgot their name, but I'll find it for you if you're interested.

Is it feasable to think I could get a set spun for $400? I thought I saw a price in that price range. I suppose it depends on how much surface area they are cleaning up.

Did you clearcoat the wheels after?

It's not Ye Old Wheel, but I have used them before. Ye Old Wheel is owned and run by a reputable Korean family, I've had them do work for me before on Ralleye II's as well as an aluminum rim on my truck. They do excellent work.

The place I was referring to is located just north of Millersville off Veterans Highway (not far from Glen Burnie either). I think they are called Wheel Worx. I had them turn a set of Snowflakes for me, as well as clearcoat them. It was something like $90 or $95 per wheel (I can't remember, it's been 2 years).

Talked to a fella today who has some nice sets of Snowflakes, these things look brand new..i saw the before pictures :P damn they were ugly.
Anyhow he said he uses Concrete cleaner on the wheels, then goes back and repaints and polishes them ...some of you guys may wana try this on your snowflakes as an alternative.

These guys charge $115 a wheel. Said they TIG weld up any curb rash, strip/paint them and re-machine. They also clearcoat. I'm gonna get mine done next year...
