I'm sure we've run this thread farther than it needed to go. Long story,short, NO ONE knows Kelsey's needs or aspirations better than Kelsey, and her parents. Thanks to all for responding. Brian, we agree, we're not freinds. I've always respected your tech advice, and thought you were an OK guy. You just don't know when to shut up. Youth and inexperience, I guess.
 I'll do what's worked best in thirty years of raising kids. Thanks again, topic closed.

OK, Oldinjun...I'll give you that much. Can't disagree with anything in your last post. Perhaps if you hadn't have gotten your a$$ so far up on your back after my innocuous first post, it wouldn't have went this far, but hey, I've been guilty of the same.

 Our father/14yr old son's 1st car build is a 79TA w/RAIII/TH350/3.73(My daughter passed on it for a 95GP) No, i wont just turn him loose on the street. My older siblings learned how to drive in our 57 Super Chief 347/A.T./4.10gr. I learned in our 65 Bonny 389/A.T./3.23gr. My oldest brother's 1st car was a 71 BB Chevelle. My next oldest brother's 1st was a 67 427 Camaro. My sister's was a 70-71? 351 Mustang. My 1st car at 15 was a 68 400 FB. None of these cars were wrecked. And they were driven hard I knew 3 people killed in HS. None were in Muscle cars. OK, now down to business. I like the 068 cam/16 hds/3.55grs. I would use a 750 Q-jet for better milage and top end power. The TH350 will hold if in good shape. A cooler and shift kit will help it live longer. Do not use a high stall convertor without a cooler. BTY; Good for you and your daughter. We need more girls in the sport, same with hunting and fishing

One Happy Kid...
His first real roadrace is this weekend, he is very well prepared. Kind sweet seeing my boy follow in his dad's hobbie of roadracing. |

My father named me after the actor (at least that's what he used to tell me). Never said "energizer", that's true. The cheap asking price might have clued you in though, and if not, it's always best to ask rather than assume "gold". Next?

What the hell!!!-the guy asked a car question pure and f-in simple!,give advice on the build or shut the hell up!!-its none of your buisness!!.I was 16 and I worked my ass off to build a bad ass nova that was pretty dam fast.I drove that car like a grandma except at the track while my other friends who had much slower cars would do 120+ floatin all over the road.Maybe you guys should or need to learn something about raising your own dam kids and ask oldinjun for advice!!!-jeeesh I thought this was an automotive forum not Dr. phils flunkies advice forum

The issue has been resolved and Oldinjun and I have made a truce, so WTF don't you just drop it instead of coming back in here and stirring up more *****?

Brian,Im not looking to go on and on with this post,I have no problem with any one person-hell I dont know anyone except for their demeanor on this forum.I just got ticked off and wanted to make a point-he asked a tech question a a tech forum,he didnt ask for opinions on what his daughter could handle.He probaly wouldnt have recieved those responses if he hadnt metioned it was for his daughter-would have been all buisness.Sorry if it seemed pointed at one person,it wasnt,Im obviously not contributing anything to the initial post so I will shut up now.
