I`ll chime in here too.....it was a `71 LeMans that carried me from the Norfolk base back home to Ann Arbor, Michigan for many a weekend in `71 & `72. The Pa pike tunnels are a trip at 2AM running `bout a hundred! Loved that LeMans!!

P.S.----Yep, the pike was under construction then, too!

Finally got off shift work and got a chance to look at this thread. Thanks for the kind words about the plans. I've lost the access to the E-sized plotter I had so's I can't print up the plans anymore, but did make a set before I lost the access. I can take them to a printing place that has big "zerox" machines and have them copied.However, I'd have to charge for the copies and postage (haven't checked yet, but wouldn't expect the cost to be more than 5 to 6 bucks). oph. You are right about needing the door braces when putting the body on a rotisserie IF you don't use a substitute frame (you just hook on to the firewall and the tail panel. My rig has it's own frame (but being a belt and suspenders kind of guy I put the braces on anyway).

As to the welding, most schools, especially the Vo-Tec kind, generally have night classes in welding. That's how I learned. You've got an instructor who knows how and you get to burn up their wire while practicing.

Mike's right these plans are awesome!!! Be the best 5 or 6 $$$ bucks you'll spend on your car. I'm about halfway done building mine and it is easy with Ed's plans..they are very detailed and simple to follow..Ed did a very good job designing his rotess.:cool

As far as the rotisseri goes, I'm having mine built . Well worth it to have it done right by someone who has built them before and knows what works. I'll have pics in a few weeks when I put the 68 gto conv. on it. It will rotate the frame also. When I am done with it, it will be for sale. I don't mind fabricating a small tool or two for a job, but it was a bit much. Let me know if anyone wants it when I am done with it. [email protected]

Hmmm, I like Sherrod's method.

I have an engine hoist ready for lifting the front. Probably cherry pick the cowl.

I have a floor jack for the back-end. jack it up and stand-up some 4x4 wood posts in each wheelwell.

Roll the frame out the back? I see the Front suspension wil get in the way. Justa reposition more 4x4s when the front suspension is ready to knock the 4x4s in the 1/4wells.
