Wink 05-06 GTO

The only changes I really would like on the new GTOs would be to get rid of the insert in the rear with the GTO embossed in it and make that part of the car like the dealer option that is available. Also a inside rear view mirror with the compass and auto dimming. Also change the rims to something nice that would go with the awesome car. I have a 05 and love it. It is mine forever unless I have an accident. God forbid. I do not particulary care for the traction control with the limited slip rearend but I can live with that. I have not altered my 05 at all except for a cb put in it for trips to listen for smokies when maybe breaking the speed limit by a couple miles per hour.

Welcome Hono, and congrats on your car. Post some pics of your ride in the Roll Call thread. I agree somewhat about the rear bumper insert. But I think the SAP rear bumber only looks good on a black car. On other colors it makes the rear end look bigger than it really is. I didn't like the gray, so I had my insert panited black. It's a better contrast with brighter colors like my Yellow Jacket, and it tones down the lettering. As for the mirror, lots of guys are going with the Gentex mirror(on my christmas list ) Here's a thread on LS1GTO.com about it http://www.ls1gto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=51560. There are good links in this thread to install procedures. I don't mind my stock 17" wheels although they are a pain in the butt to clean. I'm planning on eventually getting some custom 18" Rally IIs for mine.

Default Rear view mirror with compass

Thanks Jeff for the info. I sure appreciate it. I did find a local place called Z Tech that has the same functions as the one you are talking about. I am going to have them put one of their mirrows in for me. Bad knees kinda limit on how I move around. Had 3 surgeries on left and 1 on right. No fun but when driving the GTO they feel pretty good. Also Jeff I just use Windex on my rims. I spray it on and then just wipe off. It does a fantastic job. I do have some stuff called spray power (purchased from spraypower.com) that works wonderful also but you have to rinse it off very soon. With the Windex I don't have that problem.
