I think it is pretty funny how once every 3 or four months Ron will get on here and post a couple of times and then some goofies will jump on and say "I told you so, that Ron is a great guy, I knew he'd come through! You all should know better than to question his intentions, shame shame shame!"
Well...where are the headers? Nothing has changed at all. He still has the money and all of us still have no headers. Anyone received headers in the last few months? Anyone...Bueler.... |

I guess you didn't take Tom's advice.....
I'll be ordering some coated round ports soon, Ron.

No I didn't,
besides Tom's examples weren't anywhere near the magnitude of this deal so he really is still off base on this deal. I respect Tom, no ill will intended. |

That is so awesome Larry, then that means if Ron takes another few years to get me my headers, then they will basically be FREE!! That is awesome! A free set of top of the line headers. I am really having a hard time not calling you an idiot again.

I may be one of the goofies and was wondering how long it would take until they are "free" also. I come home from work everyday hoping that today will be the day I hear they are on their way or are already on my doorstep. Everyday there is much sadness.

Not trying to start anything with you 73TA, but why didn't you drive up to get your headers? I don't know how far you guys live from one another. Just wondering. BTW, D-ports or Rounds?

I don't know if these two guys that have received them are members of PY or not. Ron thinks that the guy from New York may be, but is not sure. He sent him an email asking him to post here that he got them, if he is in fact a member. John

He could join up and then let us know how they fit and what they look like. I saw lots of pipes in that picture, but could not see my name on anything.

Here are a couple of great photos of Ron's headers on the 77 Trans Am that is featured in the August edition of Popular Hotrodding Magazine. Granted, the subframe is not stock, but you can get an idea of how they fit.

I can sympathize with Ron as our intake project has been going on as long if not longer than his header project. It truly amazes me in this day and age how difficult it can be to get something done. Our intake has had passion, drive and $$ the whole way and still hit every bump in the road imaginable. We went through 2 pattern makers, 2 casting houses, and now that we have the castings in hand we are on our 2nd machining company. Some of these people seem motivated by nothing. And don't think this is isolated. Why do you think KRE machines their block in-house, All Pontiac is now machining their head in-house? (formerly with a little company named Rousch). Ron also had similar problems and moved his operation in-house. It takes serious $ to do this. I don’t blame anyone for being upset that they don’t have product with money down. I would be too. I don’t have a good answer for either side. Just trying to shed a little light on the process. Keep your head up Ron, otherwise everyone loses.

In all honesty, I am confident that Ron will end up sending me headers and that they will be awesome. I also can understand what he must be going through to get this project to where it is now.
I really appreciate johnsma22 posting those pics, at least that is proof that there is headers being made and that Ron actually has a bender and is making progress. It would be great if progress reports and pictures were posted periodically instead of just nothing by Ron. I can honestly say that I would not have paid the money if I would have known Ron was going to start a header company and it would take 2 years to get the headers. I just don't have the money to invest in companies. I just wanted a set of headers for my car. But if he would have been honest, then I guess he wouldn't have gotten money out of everyone like he did. So in the end I guess it will be good for everyone. |

GB,
I KNOW you'll get your headers. Correct me if I am wrong, but you got in on ther second run, right? The reason I ask this is because Ron pretty much sold out the first run in no time. I know, as I got mine during the first run. I don't think he was trying to start a company up, I think that he promised people something and then got screwed trying to deliver on it. I read Ron's response on what happened to him while trying to deliver the goods. I knew of some of the hardships dealing w/ Brand D header company. Ron told me about it when I bought my headers from him. After hearing about all the crap, I honestly thought I got the last pair available, then he did another run. I really think that he is genuine in trying to get your stuff to you. Yeah, his communication skills suck, but mine do too. I ain't saying jack on that, but I really do think he will get them to you soon. Look in the back ground- all those parts are going somewhere.

I'm still in awe that I can see the center header bolts at all in those pictures of that '77 T/a!
Keep posting pictures as you get them please! Mike

JC455,
Yes it was the second run. Mine are supposed to be 67 GTO D-port 4-speed coated headers. I agree, Ron got screwed. And he did offer a refund way back about six months into the deal, which at that time I told him I wanted the headers. So I guess I'm in for the long haul. Didn't I read that the first run took almost a year. |
