I'm in the process of buying new wheels and tires for my 1968 GTO Convertible. I'm leaning toward getting 15 X 7 Pontiac Rally IIs from Specialty Wheels. For tires, I'm going to buy radials from Diamondback, but need to know the largest tire I can put on the wheel without the tire rubbing the front wheelwells. Thanks, Ron.

245/60-15 will fit. Fit will determined by the health of your front suspension.

I bought the 15x8 Rally II's and put 235/60/15 on the front and 275/50/15 on the back. The height of the tires are almost equal.

My 69 has all new suspension on it. The only time my 245/60-15's would rub the fender was when I was backing up and turned the wheel. It would rub the front corner of both fenders, and sound like it was ripping the fenders off. I ended up changing the front ones to 235/60-15's

This is heavily influenced by the wheel back space. Does the wheel manufacturer let you choose the back space? If not, you need to ask them what the back space is and then repost here and maybe you can get some meaningful answers.
