Default Why isn't someone jumping on this 71 Judge?

Seems like a reasonable price for what it is.... :

There are a number of things that make me nervous about this car.
1. The trunk lid is off of a Lemans
2. Don't know what they were trying to accomplish with the graphics
3. The Judge decal is wrong
4. Where is the original glove box door?
5. Where is the ram air set up?

The list goes on, but I get the feeling that just about everything on the car has been modified/changed. The other item that bothers me, is that the price has steadily come down and the bids just haven't been there and because I feel that others are much better at judging cars than myself, there must be somthing wrong with it. JMO.

Did anyone else notice it has either a JW, or a KR 15" wheels in the trunk? the build sheet says its a 14" wheel car though. A rather pricey spare wheel to have just riding around in the trunk. The wheels on the car are 15"s with trim rings wonder if they are matching to this spare?

Wheels have trim rings and are painted. Look to be from mid '70's that were used on fb's.

Gold is under where hood tach was put on and sheet says guages/tach not hood tach.
Isn't there supposed to be a filler between radiator support and edge of facial panel?
Cordova top is missing.
Hard to tell if 12 bolt or if boxed lower control arms.

Default 71 Judge

This car is a great buy for the money. Great options on an original motor real deal 71 Judge. One of the more loaded 4 speed 71's that I have ever seen. I would be all over it if it wasn't for my other 69-71 Judge projects. Somebody cut loose and buy this thing!
If you've never experienced a 455 H.O. you are in for a pleasant surprise! 1971 and 72 H.O. cars are the last affordable round ports out there! They are particularly a steal when you look at the production figures.

Jack,

I was refering mostly to the spare, It's a rare 15" rally wheel with a 14" center spoke section, these were available on 71 A body cars starting in January 71. This car was not optioned this way according to the build sheet but those painted wheels might match the spare, never know, its very hard to tell with trim rings on.

these are also the same wheels on T/A's from 70 to 72

Modified or not it sounds like a sweet deal for a #'s matching 455ho judge . How many 4 speeds out of the 357 1971 judges ?

Does the uninformed B.S. ever stop on this site. I own the car, the biggest thing wrong is, people who don't know a car, who shoot their mouth off. Try reading the ad. Everyone who has spoke to me about the car, knows the car has a Lemans trunk lid, missing the glove box emblem and a crappy paint job. The decals are painted on, so what. The car needs restored. It is an extremely solid car with the original drive train. "The bidding hasn't been there" Has the bidding been good for anything lately? Why dosen't everyone go back to ripping Gregs GTO's for no good reason. This site is getting worse than my daughter's girl scout meeting's. A bunch of little girls blabbing nonsense.
p.s. thanks Uncle Judge and Sweet Muscle However, your honest assesment is out of place on this thread.

As a new person to this site, my intensions were never to upset anyone. The thread began by simply asking why wasn't anyone jumping on this car. I had seen the car on ebay, followed it, and offered my opinion. My opinion wasn't based on what I had seen, but as I said in my response it made me nervous. When I stated that "the bidding hasn't been there," I was saying that I am no expert and that I look to other more knowledgable people in this hobby and see what they are doing. To me, this makes sense because I am no expert. If it doen't to you, then I apologize. I thought that this site was for all Pontiac enthusiasts, not just experts. I guess that I should keep my opinions to myself. Once again I'm sorry that I offended you.

allmycarsrjunk, I think the71judge gave a fair and somewhat unbiased view of your car. Maybe his comment "there must be somthing wrong with it" was a little broad and out of line but by no means was he bashing it. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. Even though it may be unwarranted, I think when anyone has a car for sale they need to expect a little bit of criticism.

I agree with 74SD, and it is much easier to accept this criticism on an unrestored car then a restored car. Its not like anyone came right out and said this car was a POS or anything they were just speculating as to why they thought it wasnt selling thats all.

For the record The car looks very restorable to me and it can be very hard to say why some draw the bids and others dont, I can say being the owner of a 71 aztec gold GTO that the color probably isnt helping the bidding any.

John,

It will sell, and you and the rest of us will be talking about it years from now when it shows up at BJ or on Legendary's site with some big price tag on it. It's rare, it's desireable and it's numbers matching.

What more do people expect?

Chris
