Default Optima battery NHRA ??

Do you need a battery box if installed in the trunk. I know it's a sealed unit. I want to be able to pass NHRA tech

No you do not-just 3/8 diameter bolts minimum for hold downs-through the frame rails-if the hook-overs on the bolts are open-they need to be welded shut.

Need a firewall in the rear with a battery in the trunk, and the factory divider doesn't count, no exceptions.

The thickness in my car measures approx. .060-it is steel. I do not know what is required but I have never been hassled. I would think .062 aluminum would suffice. Tiki??? Brian??
