Default Darksider Sitings

Guys,
I just had to start this. Wearing this shirt at the Haufbrau House in Munich a couple of weeks ago generated a lot of questions about Pontiacs. After everything was said and done, the band leader even made a toast to Pontiacs. It was a great time and maybe some other darksiders will post their pics and where they were sited.......

PS..Going 200 Km/hr (about 125 mph) in a rented BMW 525 was a blast. My doors got blown away by a Mercedes 722 who had to be going over 300 Km/Hr. I saw the same car when I exited the freeway and stopped to take the enclosed pics...wow!

Here are the 722 pics..... The owner said he paid 640,000 Euros (cash) for it earlier in the week. That's almost $900,000 US . He was from Dubai.

Great story Zig!
I'd love to take my car down the autobahn.
Who knows Zig, if this America experiment goes belly up, going back to the homeland might not be so bad.

Here is a photo with my children. We were in San Antonio....I also wore it to the track at POCI in Tulsa and to the car show downtown.

AH! I LOVE the Hofbrau house in Munich! Sounds like a plan for a Darksiders club meeting. Zig, see what you can do for arrangements!

Jeff, the autobahn isn't what it use to be. Every now and then I get a chance to cruise at 100 - 110 mph, but it's very few and far between. Mostly you have to hang low because of all the traffic. The fun part is when you can hang behind a Benz, or BMW and just GOOOOOOO!

Best Autobahn Story: I'm doing 110 (about 180 kmph) on the Autobahn stretch between Stuttgart and Munich. Lights flash behind me (telling me to get over, they wanna pass) - It's the Police and they passed me like I was standing still!!!

Now that would be a place to take my car. I need to add dual quads, beef up the internals and with my 2.41 gear I bet I could up to 150. Thats if the big car could handle the turns. Great pics and story.

Ron, as always I have it good right in my own back yard.
There is a 20 mile stretch here that you can see miles ahead of you. It starts up on a hill bottoms out on a bridge and goes back up 5-8 miles.
One time a BMW boxter(?) passed me at around 90-100. I waited till I hit the down pass and blew past him at the bottom across the bridge. The speedo was buried so I glanced at my tach and it was at 4500 rpm. Remember I have a 2.56 rear! It was an erie smooth as glass feeling and that RA-4 cam makes a real spooky howl at that speed.
Once I headed back up the hill he was a little blur in my mirror.
Now I can see how Fireball was cruising with one arm out the window at 150 mph in that famous photo.

Pat, I've never been there, but my buddy worked construction out there and said it was pure heaven!
He said, at the end of the day they would just drop the tools and leave them there until the next day.

At the Good Times car show here in Colorado August of last year. Not a real good shot of the shirt but you can tell I'm wearing it.

Heee you guys love to speed on our Autobahn's, I can understand that. My top speed was just 150 mph, well you need a fast and powerful car for to do more! you should know there's a discussion going on to limit speed in Germany too, because of environmental issues. This kind of discussion pops up once in a time. At the moment all the climate hysteria is used to put more pressure into this discussion. Also a lot of European politicians (not German) would love to see speed limited in Germany as it's the only country without, everything has to be the same everywhere, that sucks. I hope they don't get through with this!
Another thing: where can I get mor info on the darksiders club? I love the t-shirts...

Al

edit: found out about the darsider shirts, hope there's still some....

You guys and your Darksiders shirt photos are getting me all choked up. Those are awesome pics. By the way, I've shipped shirts to Norway and Australia, Switzerland, as well as Germany.

ah, I forgot to mention (sorry 'bout that!), both Mike Nixon and 64catdroptop were also there! I should also mention that the Bonneville Safari in the picture was piloted by "62 bv" (another top-notch PY-er).

Mike, I lose track once I'm more than a state away from America's Dairyland...
