[67 455 Bird ragtop]

Anyone have driving or fog lights on their 67/8 ??? If so I'd like to see some pics. I have a few ideas but would like to see what others did.

I had a set of KC highlights for my high beams through a relay on my first '68 bird. I tried a couple of different aftermarket fog lamps and I thought they looked tacked on, nothing really integrated well.

Anyone else?

The problem is with dual round lights and that big chrome bumper it's tough to mount them in any place that looks good. Since my car is currently under construction I have thought about making an opening below the turn signals and mounting either a thin rectangle or small round light there.

There's a perfect spot. The Valance panel at both ends where the 67 has it's turn signals mounted. I'd put both lamps there and figure out how to integrate turn signal or convert to 68 extensions, signals and valence. Maybe a bit extreme though.

There must be a way to integrate the parking and turn signal light into a fog light housing. That way you could have both without any permanent change.

Donovan - That idea is one I'd really like to try. I wish there was a stock turn signal/driving light that was rectangular I could mount in basically the same location as the turn signals. I have plenty of time to continue my search. I have found some small rectangular driving lights that might look good side by side with the stock turn signal. But I always welcome ideas to try.

I originally thought about the 69 Camaro round turn signals. But those are almost as big our headlights so it may look goofy ....

Fog lights from a 1993-1997 Camaro might fit.

I used aircraft landing lights for highs in my 68 for many years.
They look great as they have a clear lens thats flat.
I also have some new Hellas that replace the sealed beams
with an H4 capsule for low beams and H1 for highs.

Sort of like these? Ive been running these for years. These were Lucas Landing Lights from the 60s. Plugs didnt come close to automotive but a little modding and retina burners!!!! I have never seen another set.

Mine are GE landing lights.
Only have 1 left and its in my 67 Tempest Sprint right now.
Sadly one was broke changing it out for yearly inspection.
I loaned my 68 to a friend for a few weeks and inspection was due.
he dropped it changing it out. I never replaced it...nor did he.
I use the lone one on the passenger side,yes it will burn a hole in plate steel.
Ive moved on to projector HIDs,converting most of my fleet over now.
The hardest one is my Olds Aurora as it has a 3ft long4 inch high headlight.
Ive got quad projectors in it,all sitting on my workbench waiting for install,
got pics of the beam cutoff when temporarly installed and its awesome.
