There shouldn't be any differance 68-70. Remember though that there is a difference hardtop to convertable.

1968-1972 Tempest, GTO, Lemans hard top frames are all the same. 1968-1972 convertibles are all the same to. A convertible frame will work in a hard top (just has a box section alone the rocker area. Don't use a hard top frame on a convertible car. The box section give the car more strength that the convertibles need.

ps. 1968-1972 Skylar, Chevelle, Cutlass frames can be used - Their all "A" bodies. Motor mount holes may or may not be the same??? I'm not possitive.

68 is slightly different cosmetically in the cross-member under the engine. Has to do with the "tongue" design.

All A-body models share the same frame for 2 dr coupes. All convertibles share the boxed frame from 68-72. I no longer have a picture of the 68 GS400 that I stripped for parts and sold.....but there is a difference if you know what to look for on the frame. Unless the cars is a concours show car, no one will know.
