How can you find the true color code for a '65 GTO Iris Mist paint, and does anyone know where I can find out how many were actually produced by the factory in that color?

Per Dupont, I called them to get the modern mix.
1965 paint code P, Iris Mist / Evening Orchid [in Chevrolet], crosses over to 4632K Alternate 1 in the Chromabase line. It's still available but hang on to your wallet. Mike

![]() Seriously, thanks for the code info. Do you know where I can find the production #'s on the '65's painted with the P code. Mine is a true P code car, but I know the paint color is not quite right. Thanks again Mike...

AS far as production #'s go you MIGHT get that from PHS. I've never seen GTO's broken down by color. I'm somebody out there has aan approximation.
I know It's rare for the car to be a true P code. I've been trying to buy a G/P locally that's a factory P car for 20+ years, the owner has let it deteriorate so far it's pretty well junk. It's my favorite color in 65, one of my favorites for Pontiac period. Mike

PHS does not have a searchable database and cannot tell you how many. I do know that the color was not very popular back then--but has always been one of my favorites. I had a Mayfair Maize '65 GTO that I painted Iris Mist...
