1970 Pontiac GTO Convertible – Atoll Blue, Blue Interior, White Top, Air Conditioning

The car was built in April 1970 and sold in Pensacola, Florida, but was in California since at least 1985 based on the documentation and receipts for work done since that time. The car was transported back to Florida in November 2006 in an enclosed carrier.

The car has the original numbers matching engine, rebuilt with only 1400 miles since the rebuild, though the transmission is not original. The engine has a slightly more aggressive cam, with an Edelbrock Performer Intake and Carb, though the original intake is included with the sale.

Car sits on 14x7 Rally II wheels with the correct black lug nuts and red center caps – if the reserve is met, a set of JT Rally II wheels (3 dated February 1970 and 2 dated March 1970) will be included.

The interior is completely restored with new seats, carpet, dash (restored by Just Dashes) and door panels. A new dash wiring harness was installed in 2008 along with a new convertible top and pump. The AC system was restored in 2008 with correct brackets and blows cold. A new dash bezel was installed in April 2009. The correct blue steering wheel is also included and was restored at the same time as the interior panels.

Car comes with an owner’s manual, build-sheet, all PHS documentation, full body service manual and car cover. Receipts for all work are included.

The car was painted in 2001 and is in good condition with only minor cracking on the Endura bumper which is in otherwise great condition. The trunk was painted in 2007.

Overall the car is in very good condition and could easily be enjoyed as is or brought to show quality. Remaining items I would do for show are: rechrome the rear bumper as the chrome is a little thin, replace dash vents as the silver detailing is worn. Other items I would consider are new decals and detailing in the engine compartment, plus a bumper jack and trunk detailing.

Transportation is at the buyer’s expense though I will assist as possible.
