62 heads are nice heads.big valve(2.11-1.77)screw in stud, nice chamber, but it is a smaller chamber advertised about 72 i believe but most are found alittle bigger 75/78.even at the bigger size they would give a pretty high compression on a 455 if you don't run dished pistons.if you are looking for a strip set up where you would use race gas,not so much of a problem.
they can be found between 100-250 a set that need redone and up depending what has been done to them.

62s are '69 400/428 heads. As Warbird said, large-valve, small chamber. Pretty much the "same" as the other iron d-ports of the era. Not a "bad" head.

depending on the type of 455 engine you're building, you'll need a 30cc dish piston to keep the compression down.

Check in the Performance Parts For Sale. Firebird Crazy 1959 is offering two sets of bare 7K3 heads for $100.0 a set. If he wasn't so far away I would get a set for my 455. These are the last of the big valve heads with screw in rocker studs. Listed at 96 cc combustion chamber, on a 30 over 455 this will have a 9.14 cr. Perfect for a pump gas street motor. I know they don't have the end exhaust bolts holes. If you don't run headers they will be ok, with stock log manifolds or Ram Air Manifolds

Your location is listed a Maine, Firebird Crazy lists his location a White Lake N.Y. I think if I was in your position, it would be road trip time.
