4/26 got the rear shocks mounted so she's sittin on all 4's now. What do you think, sittin ok in the rear or does it need to be higher ?

IMHO the rear does not want to be any higher. If it was my car I might even drop it a few inches.

4/28 I ordered a few pieces from MOON back when I picked up the car and got them installed tonight. 60's window crank, Gasser style gas pedal, and custom cut the other pieces to fit the e brake and also cut down the size of the brake pedal. My friend Nick gave me the MOON tach which is now mounted up on top of the dash where it's easy to see. I had to add a plate to the back of the gas pedal for the roller wheel on the throttle mechanism to roll on. The entire throttle linkage works beautiful.

4/30 Got the bumper on but the chrome was ***** so I hit the entire bumper with a 4" sanding disc to rough up the chrome so paint would stick. It turned out okay but I think the color I used looks like crap. Rustoleum Aluminum. It looks okay in the pictures but when you see it for real it doesn't look good at all. Definitely open for suggestions on a good silver that doesn't look like cheap chrome.
This is the first time the car has seen sunlight since I brought her home last may. I trailered her down to Tulsa Raceway Park to show the Pontiac guys what I've been working on. There's still a lot of work, but making progress.

I was suprised to see another straight axle car at the Tulsa Nats yesterday. Brad Thompson, super nice guy, drove up from Texas. He said the car took 7 months from start to current. He built a complete new chassis, did all of the body work himself, relocating the rear wheel openings, formed and welded all of the new panel pieces, built his engine and put it all together. His 66 is a replica of his Dads car that he campaigned in the 60's. If I remember right he said he moved the rear end up 18" and the front axle 2". Really neat car. His Dad drove some serious business front engine dragsters as well in the 50's and 60's and he had a bunch of pictures of him in his trailer, along with his old fire suit and helmet. Totally cool.

If I look at Pic #2 of the ones you posted Dill, (the side view), I am worried about the front end dropping and cutting the front tire. Is the fender really that far over the tire?
If so I would think about removing a section of the front fender to gain more tire clearance. Maybe the photo does not show a 'hole' for the tire to pass through inside the fender. Tom Vaught

Thanks for the concern Tom. You are correct that at this point it could cut the tire, and probably from just a good bump driving down the road. I just wanted to clearance as little as possible until I figured out what bracing I would use to position the front edge of the fender and if I needed to trim more off. Appreciate the eye.
