1"inch lift for flow: what is the flow with just a valve stem?
May provide a clue to an optimal valve. |

Been through all the explanations and back and forths years ago.
If you believe the posts Great, lets move forward and build some fast Pontiacs together. If you do not believe the posts Great, continue to develop your race engine program your way. Many thanks to those who contribute to this and other forums with positive posts that enhance Pontiac performance. |

HIS,
I have not tested these heads with just the valve stem. We did pick up a bit with the additional short turn and seat work. Trying hard to dyno this weekend with a few different manifolds. |

What I would like to find for something weird is a '70 LeMans Safari wagon and put all the '70 GTO stuff on it and stuff that engine under the hood. Lower it a little, bars, shocks, springs, tires, 5-spd trans and... SURPRISE RICE GRINDERS!!! LOL!

everyone has freedom of choice, also choices often make or break you.
I know a guy who wears glasses like the photo below, he sees things differently also, some things are not even there ![]() I guess thats why a brilliant guy around Montreal sent heads to Texas when there is a porter with 14 NHRA world records within an hour drive! classic! |

I like the orange lenses, but theyre not stylin.
I like to port my own heads, manifolds, but THEY not stylin either. |

GREEN, that's the color to go with! Orange is just weird is all I can say. OH! And if I can get my hands on 800hp I will!! Maybe I'll go the opposite direction and build my own car. A two seat sports car based on an aluminum monocoque Can-Am car from the early '70's. I'll do something weird and put twin steering axles on it like a Tyrrell P-34, get it down to 1,600lbs with 800hp can you imagine!

I don't know who you were referring to in your post, but I am very pleased with my heads that were ported somewhere in Texas.

Turned on the weather a few minutes ago and saw all that mess in the northeast and just thought about you guys...
It was 90 here Saturday and finally got the car out again after 4 years of working and spectating. Ran 6.11 at 112.8 in 3925 DA (mineshaft air for Abilene) with lousy 60', sorting out a few changes. |

Looks good Jim...did you chuck the 79 front end in the garbage? I personally like the earlier 70's front end better.

5.9s would be great but 5.8s would be better :-) And we are a long way from Norwalk geographically and performance wise, but I am trying to bring it.
Hi Josh, 79 Hood and nose are in great shape and need a new home. For the Painters, we worked extra hard on the nose, shaker and stripe but the launch pic does not show the factory stripe so here is an little better shot. |

Still looks good!...I should've kept it...would have been a perfect candidate for X275...the car just flat out works and its light! A few more bars and its an easy 25.5 cert.

Car looks awesome Jim and running even better. Seeing posts like this make me miss the old motor. With the things I've learned going through the new build and what I've done to the car I think we could get a little more out of it..
