I got 15 valve springs done today (putting the inner spring back in after cam break in), the one I have having trouble with is the exhaust on #7. I am running into the brake booster and there is no feasible way (using a star handled valve spring removal tool) to get it off. Any other ideas?
I am using the rope trick in the cylinders. |

This type of tool worked good for me in my FB. The brake booster wasn't even an issue...

That tool works great! Blows away the star tool in everyway. It's usually available at any part store. Cheap!

You can also take the brake booster/master cylinder off the firewall without disconnecting any lines and set it out of the way.
