Just pulled it out of a barn Thursday, 61,000 original miles factory air car, original buckets with console, white on white interior. 1964 f-85 deluxe, going to do it up like a 442 I'm putting a 350 olds in her.
The front buckets are shot but everything else is absolutely perfect for a 48 year old car. We put some oil in it, tranny fluid and cleaned up the points and she fired right up. I actually sold my 02 audi a6 to buy this and fix it up.

some shots of the reveal into sunlight and some when I got it home and got it cleaned up and the interior polished, got it home and saw it had a padded dash.

Nice car. Hopefully the '71-'72 Chevy truck next to it will be driven again.

Quite the layer of dust on it. Did the previous owner know how long it had been stored?
It must have been very satisfying work to get it cleaned up. I'm wondering about the wheel cover on the RR. It almost looks like a newer polycast wheel. LF appears to be the same style. Are those factory issue? Though I'm not very big on the early A bodies, this has got some unique cool factor. You don't see very many Oldsmobile post coupes. I suppose all the F-85s were post cars. |

Cool! I have a '67 Cutlass Supreme. I like Pontiac big cars and Trans Ams, but I've always liked Olds A-bodies.

Well the po bought it off the guy while he was driving it, then parked it in this barn. According to the tag that was in 97. I'll be posting pictures of it on of it's revival. I love this car because it's a cousin to my 65 gto post coupe that I'm restoring, kinda gives me inspiration, being as young as I am I've never seen a A-body car of that era, so my restoration was going on blind love of the body style and Internet pictures.
My fiancé isn't happy about losing the Audi for a 48 year old car but I told her good, that's just one less person wanting to drive it.

What a nice find. I have 2 '64 cutlasses, 1 os a 4 dr, the other is a 2dr ht that was optioned nice like yours- console, tach, a/c, 4bbl, buckets,. I tried to years to find someone who would build it but, no takers, so I am parting it.
These are neat little cars. Enjoy

If it runs good? I'd just drive it as is till it gets old and tired. It's a shame to not use a good engine. Spend the time gathering up the parts for a nice 1972 Olds 350 build then when the orignal is tired swap it in with a later 350 or 400 trans.

Haha she can be high maintainnce but she let's me do my car thing and I think it's rare lol.
As for keeping the stock motor, I would but it's just to low on the ponies for me, plus I miss the torque.

I have had (and friends have as well) several Oldsmobiles. They have been some of the nicest driving cars I have had. My buddy had a 65 F85, I had a 66 F85, and another friend has a 66 Cutlass with a 455 (Olds). The nicest one I had was a 70 Cutlass I bought for $200 with no engine. I dropped in a 455 Olds and a TH400. That was such a fun car to drive!

Well I drove it to work today, runs surprisingly well for sitting as long as it did, accel pump is sticking on it but it's passable. Also after driving it and doing the math the car has 3.73 rear end gears.
