These are nothing to look at yet but here is my 68. It's rusty but that's what I wanted because I'll be doing some body mods. It was a sprint 6, 4 speed car but the last guy put a 400 in it. The guy said he could get me the original engine but I never heard back from him. It was green with tan interior so it would be kinda cool to restore it with the original engine.
![]() My 69. No idea what it was originally but it had a 283 when I bought it so I sold that. It has a solid body. I'm going to put some kind of LS engine with a t56

I'm in Afghanistan now and he's a couple hrs from my house but I want to try to get a hold of him again when I get home and see if he can get it. My 67 was a single barrel OHC6 so I am kinda fond of them so it would be cool to have a numbers matching sprint 6.

Here is my 69 Firebird Sprint convertible, back when I bought it in 2010. It is a nice rust free two owner car out of San Diego.
Interesting options; console, 8 track, woodwheel, tinted glass all around, am radio, decor group, wood shift knob, mats, compact spare and glove box lamp (the last two become optional late in the model run). But manual steering and brakes. I have since had it painted and upgraded the 3peed manual to a correct saginaw 4speed. I also found an NOS set of the custom hubcaps (the car came with the cheaper looking deluxe units as in these pics) Next step is to redo the interior as needed. not sure about adding power steering yet; its a bear to turn at low speed but feels much better at speed than a power steering car.

I have a pic of the PHS on my iPad but I can't seem to figure out how to upload it. I know how to do it from my computer but not on this iPad, anyone out there who can help me?
The car has a neat history, I spoke to the original owner; he lived in upstate new York and was going to Univerisity in San Diego in the summer of 69. His grand dad offered to buy him a new car but he said no V8's (too dangerous!) so he found the highest HP six out there, a sprint 6 He left for California literally from the Pontiac garage the day he took delivery. When he graduated in the early 70's he sold the car in san diego to the guy who owned it till 2010.

I offer one bit of unsolicited advice concerning your rear axle, be sure to box the perches or you could repeat my little fiasco... The result of a healthy 455, a manual trans and slicks. Busted the driveshft, the Tremec TKO transmission and ripped through the body. ![]() The car only had 43,000 original miles on it when this happened. ![]() Not going to happen to me again. ![]() I like your blower...mine is in progress.

Project Foulplay getting there, small hit list to fix then time to fabricate my interior. Finally started it up for the first time about 2 weeks ago.
