Alvin's picture of Danica in the red bathing suit, No Thanks I'll pass.

I like my women with curves and some meat. She's (depending on the picture) semi-flat chested, has the lower body of a 12 yr old boy. Nothing wrong with her looks, just not my cup of tea.

If she's afraid to run hard in the draft at the end (like in Daytona), she'll drop back 5 - 15 spots in the last 2 laps.

I don't think she gets the "kid glove" treatment in Dega like she did at Daytona either.

And her only chance of running up front most of the day is if she can qualify up front in the first place.

Shut up and race...

http://aol.sportingnews.com/nascar/s...s-race-results

I didn't watch the race but it sounds like she had an ok day, had to pit under green for debris, happens to a lot of them.
Needs to learn when to speak out though, monitoring in car radio traffic is the worst thing they've ever allowed to broadcast. Everyone is different, Rusty used to spew all kinds of garbage. I really don't need to hear that the driver farted and feels better now.
Just shut up and race...

She needs to try coming before these guys rather than "after" them. Didn't anyone tell her that?

She does need to "shut up and race".

Pitting because of debris on the grill is just because she's not a good enough driver to get close enough to the car in front of her to have the air take it off. Good drivers do it all the time.

I've been listening to the drivers for 20 years. Personally, I enjoy hearing it. And I do remember Rusty's words after wrecking on the front stretch in Daytona in '95... I can't post the words here...

After now just reading the Sporting News link I'd have to say I agree with Gilliland's comment, basically: "STFU and Race!"

So SOP for all other drivers is to "suck up" behind another car @ speed and let the draft remove debris stuck on the nose of their vehicle. Isn't that a basic NASCAR driver skill-set at ALL levels? Maybe that's what she was attempting when she ran into the back of the other car...?

Telling too; that she didn't do her usual post-race spotlight commentary, instead using a "spokesperson" so she didn't have to face any hard or potentially critical questioning about her poor race performance or "blame-game" radio commentary.

Get ready to see who she will blame for her next race performance...

Put a "track dryer" graphic wrap on her butt and Montoya's liable "to leave a scorch mark" like he did with the safety crew.

What position did her boss finish in?
Not much better from what I remember(woke up from a nap).

I've noticed in the slow mo replays of some of her crashes, the a$$ end will break loose and she'll be way out of shape before you see the front wheel counter steer. She needs to spend a year on the dirt track circuit and learn how to really throw a helmet.
Just my opinion.

Agree.
Same applies to many other drivers too!

It's not our fault, we don't build the engines.
Say what? Nice defense. Guess if any of the dozens of other TRD, or Hendrick, or Yates engines are wrong it's ok too? Most all the teams are now outsourcing them after all.

I read that story a little while ago, and had to laugh. Gibbs is saying they had no idea one connecting rod was too light, and I believe that. There's no way Gibbs, Kenseth, Hamlin/Vickers, or K. Busch would know what's in their engine. They simply mash the pedal to the floor and go.

But the part I found funny is that they said it was "quality control issue", and not intentional. It's hard to believe that a professional engine builder would have a connecting rod that was underweight, especially when it's for a NASCAR team.

I doubt this was an "accident", not with one of the NASCAR engine builders.

Does make you wonder though about how fast that #20 car been this year. I know Kenseth is a great driver and all, but Logano ain't THAT bad, and that car wasn't very competitive last year.

Interesting.
Wonder if the total weight(piston/rod/pin) was same as other 7.

Checked to verify.
Tony finished a whopping 4 places ahead of her.
Whats his excuse?

Most of the cars had issues at Kansas, the weather changed and threw a lot of them off. Heck, Kyle Bush wrecked all weekend, and like him or not, he has as much car control as anyone out there.

The difference is the amount of attention and praise doesn't match the results. Too many of us have highly tuned BS meters and most of the time when Danica is mentioned the meter is pegged.

When David Reutimann first hit NASCAR he received a lot of attention. His track results didn't match it and the reporting fell off, as it should.
