Default 68 gto interior question

always was curious about this ,here is my question,when you ordered parchment interior on a 68 why was the pillar molding,dash,visors and console black,where as all other colors the interior was the same through out

Black becomes "invisible" when looking out the window. It does not reflect a bright spot in sunlight to the windshield the way white does. White also makes the pillar "visible" which narrows the perceived field of vision...

I have a 68 with original Parchment interior and the pillar covers and visors are parchment not black

I'm guessing OP has a vert w/black A pillar trim and last 2 posters have Hdtps w/pearl.

Hardtops have parchment pillars and visors to match the headliners, verts had black to match the inside liner of the folding top.
