Anyone know of an applicator that copies the factory technique? I'm not sure how they applied the seam sealer at the factory but it looks like a combo of squeeze tube and brush on?

Correct - it was a pressurized applicator/wand that had a little bit of a brush on the end.

Best I can do on short notice:

This happens to be for spraying undercoating inside the door, but it would look something like this, if you can imagine the tip slightly flattened and with a short bristle brush on the end.

I use the cheap throw away paint brushes and cut the bristles to about 1/2".
You can finger it in good then while still wet swipe the brush over it.
Some types can be rewet with lacquer thinner.

I've done what Cammer said to duplicate that OE look. Lay down your bead, tool it into seam with a finger and come behind it with an acid brush to duplicate the desired "brushed" look. Irgoatmike

what type of seam sealer product do you use? brand? i have some of the grey brush on type..works really well tho i dont get the factory look with a bondo applicator..i mostly use it to try and seal leaks in my car trunks....

Thanks! The brush is a great idea. As for seam sealer, I'll probably use something from Eastwood or 3M (haven't bought it yet).

I like fusor 019 which can be applied direct to metal and tools nicely. It is a two component which keeps cracking, corrosion limited. Needs a special applicator gun though gets spendy. Irgoatmike

A large caulk gun modified with 2 pieces of PVC pipe as plungers will save you $$.
