I wonder if that was the car that went through Barrett-Jackson some years ago that was a rebodied car. I Knew of one that a local dealer took there and sold for big money.

.....wrong later design rear spoiler end caps, black painted park lamp bezels, '73-up trim rings. Still, other than the A/C/no A/C situation, looks like a fun fair weather driver to me.

Billing mistakes have shown up in the past where options were on the car but not on the PHS - Pat Brown's 455HO 72 GTO is just one example.

I'm not saying that's necessarily the explanation here, but it's just as plausible as the re-body argument.

I would say that its bad for some purist, and others who like to drive its good. Perfect TA for driving, and if you want to make it more perfect someday delete AC....

Not like its a POS car and clean underside too...

If it was a rebody why does it exist?

There's MORE of that going on than you want to know.....

Not saying I approve of it,but do you throw away a rare car because the body is rotten, beyond repair?

I'll bet that there's a TON of Hemi cars,big block Chevlles,Camaro's,Judges and Boss /Shelby Mustangs that have had that program....

Formulabruce is this the upper vents area you are talking about because I did install AC in my 72 TA but I never did any mods but the TA never ran after that . I'm using everything from a 76 TA that I parted out in mid 80. I guess when I will take the car apart again I will do all the mods to it to make the AC work properly.

yes there are rectangular "lipped" holes there for the upper vents. also on an AC car is the moved vac source line to the fresh air vacuum solenoid in the cowl.
Removing AC and doing it right is even more of a task, making the correct vent holes, adding metal and fitting the non ac heater core stuff.

It has the numbers matching M22 4-speed in it. The correct 191 heads and numbers matching block. The rear axle has the following Code on it: GX - 3.08 Rear Gear

Not sure about his date code interpretation. He says April 7th, 1971, which would be 1D7. But to me, it looks more like I("eye")07. What do you guys see?
