I think the guy with the monkee mobil is way out of range, as I have 2 of those still in the box & I only paid $ 18.00 for them about 6 months ago. Mine are in the box to.

Yea, but I bet yours is not the rare, "vintage" "1969" "four door" GTO model. !?!?!? Yours is the more common, recent release, 1966, two door, convertible GTO model. |

The monkee mobil is the same one that I have it's the 66 GTO modle not a 4 door 69 modle. The pic is of the 66 GTO monkee mobil that is the more common one. In the pic you can see the dash is a 66 dash & not a 69 dash.

I was being sarcastic. The seller doesn't have a clue.

I was wondering if he meant that the display model was actually from 1969...But if that's the case, he should have shown an old box or something of that nature. Don't know if that would add any value whatsoever anyway.

455grandville, the price on the car is a bit high but with the price of the cars that are in good shape that can be used for either parts or as a car that someone could make into a GTO or even put together as a good Lemans/Tempest it is close to the correct price. If it really is a rust free car it would be worth around 5K to the right person. You know you have to start high to get close to the price you really want. But as 1 of the posters said we will all laugh when someone buys it & then it pops back up as a GTO for 20K later.

He thought the nearly-obsolete CD Player was so important that he mentioned it twice.

I got a laugh out of there not being any room for an air conditioning "pump" after the upgrade to the 350 small block over the 305. Didnt realize they were different sizes on the outside of the engine LOL.
