I remember the Time Machine movie. That one I thought was good. The one that scared me as a kid was "Them". The movie was radiation altered ants that were 10 ft tall. For some reason I spent the rest of that summer killing ants.

Artic movie featuring an attack plant. Of course it attacks the generator so it is intelligent.
Trivia: that was James Arness as the plant. He was later to become Matt Dillon, U.S. Marshal on "Gunsmoke."

How about "Plan 9 from outer space?" Alleged to be the worst movie ever.

Or "Earth vs. The Flying Saucers?"

Or "Them?"

Danny Regan sent me a copy of one that was terrible and funny, but only from 1991.

The Dark Backward. Oh, it's awful. I love making people watch it. Nobody will stick through it.

That's the one I mentioned as THE movie if you want to talk about 'so bad they are good'. I don't care how many times you've seen it, it's still funny.

The theater where The Blob was filmed is about 20 minutes from me. Every year they put on Blobfest and recreate the scene where everyone is running out of the theater screaming. Of course they also have several showings of the movie. It's a total hoot! http://thecolonialtheatre.com/category/events/blobfest/

"It Came From Beneath The Sea" was on tonight. I watched the last 30 minutes of it with my kids. They were laughing so hard watching the claymation like special effects.

I enjoy Mystery Science Theater 3000. It shows a lot of the cheesy black and white sci-fi stuff and the commentary is priceless.

They laugh even harder at those movies. The combo of bad special effects and Japanese to English dubbing gets them every time.
