Plus a lot of States (like my home State of PA) require insurance just to maintain a registration. Drop the Insurance and you will lose the registration or at the very least it won't renew. So then you have to get a new registration and plate everytime you want to put it back on the insurance/road.

I wish they had that law in Wisconsin. there are a LOT of people driving without insurance. I was hit 12 years ago by a guy who ran a red light. Never even saw him coming. he had no insurance, my insurance had to pay for all my bills & the car. Ridiculous.
