I had to research this model. I figured Coronet 440 was a reference to the engine size or something (like the Olds 442), but apparently the Coronet 440 was just another trim level available with a 318 and four doors. Go figure.

It's an actual 1968 GTO. This is a project car and it's not running. Call me if you would like to see it 661-706-8844 or 661-220-9277 ask for Roger or Anna.
This is a vin number 42 = GTO. This car has been in California most of its life. You will not be disappointed in the floor boards I took some photos. All I know about the car is that the block has been changed once, but the heads are the original Ram Air 3, and as for the transmission I don't know if it's the original. The engine has a loud knocking so I'm calling it no good. This GTO has a manual 4-speed Muncie with a Hurst racing shifter.

The surface rust you see on the roof is not all rust, most of it is bubbling glue left over from the removal of the vinyl top.

I don’t have the time anymore or any documentation to show if they are original Ram air 3 heads, or if the car came from the dealer this way. This is what the seller who sold to me had posted in his for sale sign that I still have, he also told me that they are the original heads. I’m going to say that they are not Ram air 3 heads because I don’t know if they really are, and don't know how to tell them apart from non-ram air 3 heads.

But if they are you just got yourself a good deal on a GTO with Ram air, and if they are not you still got yourself a good deal on a GTO.

I guess it was a pretty heavy car.

It sounds like he is a flipper. He got it cheap, and wants to sell it high, using the previous sellers description. If it is such a great deal, than he should keep it. He won't even check the numbers on the "ram air" heads when a potential buyer asked for verification. He "doesn't know" or "care". Well that makes me trust him.
