That's actually the ultra-rare Platinum Silver PRIMER. It looks like it's always had a dull finish.

This guy's probably taken some marketing classes where they taught you how to turn snake oil into "Wonder Elixir".

Oh snap...it never even occurred to me that he was referring to the primer as 'silver' paint...lol. Now, that is funny.
What's unfortunate is that with a reasonably accurate description, without all the distractions, it would probably attract a buyer. Looks fairly solid and the convertible mod makes it relatively hard to find.

This is a 1983 Pontiac Firebird TransAm with a custom fiberglass body kit built on it. It has a 305 5.0 engine and 4 speed overdrive automatic tranny, four wheel deisc brakes and posi rear. It runs great and has a manual fuel pump and needs a gas tank or fuel cell if prefered. It could use a tune up. The paint is good but the clear coat has flakes and scuffing and the body has some cracks as shown but it can easily be restored. The hard top is removable. It has a set of new American Racing TrueSpoke wheels mounted with new Supreme Sigma P235 X R60 X 14" tires. THIS IS BEING SOLD WITH A BILL OF SALE ONLY. Asking $2500 or best offer and would also be willing to trade or partial trade for a good running 4x4 automatic pickup. A 66 wagon is cool. Not 4k cool though. The 72 Chev Impala (Gunboat) is likewise cool. With a 454 and good paint, its 5k cool. With a 400 and a butt-load of rust, not so much.
