Thats the advantage of being crazy.......I always feel fine!
![]() I just really like the day 2 look with the fat tires/wheels/traction bars. Heck I'm envisioning Hooker sidepipes as well! Although I'm a purist its refreshing to see one a'la 1975. True this may not be the car for such foolishness, but in honor of the pics.....just for MCACN.

the Cow Catcher Spoiler...which I always called it...but I never thought someone might use it for that...I know that the front spoiler was designed for/preventing front air lift...not for chasing cattle...but its your car and you can do what you want..poor Bessie being chased by a light blue/white striped TRANS AM...I am surprised they did not mount horns to the hood...and all this takes place before SMOKEY & THE BANDIT...I LOVE THE SOUTH, I LOVE STEAK...NORTH OR SOUTH...guys still manage to destroy the T/A...thankfully that's all in the past and now we just restore them and save them...but if I could only go back in time and prevent the abuse...Stop Chasing Bessie with the TRANS AM boy...or I will call the Humane Society on you..

![]() The only deviation from assembly line for her (notwithstanding the factory directed deviations!!!) will be the dealer badge. It just has to go on the car, even if that means points deducted! Now Sister is another story. My Lucy blue/ white auto column shift will likely get a day 2 with American 200S, headers and a hooker roll bar like the ones Mecham put in the Machos. Some traction bars would go nicely in that package too.

Time for an Adrian update.... almost.
I'm lucky enough to get to visit Steve's shop on Monday Sept. 8, so I'll be posting some updated pictures next week. Meanwhile, while everyone was enjoying the Trans Am Nationals I was working on a website for Adrian ![]() Feel free to subject the website to the shark tank examining it with the same scrutiny that most beaters on here get! Tweaks and suggestions are welcome! Enjoy: www.1972transam.net

WOW! Excellent site! Read it from cover to cover. Makes me wonder if the silver car is still out there? Can't wait for the unveiling. Is Lucy going to be there to show the contrast?

MCACN has a weekly email blast that does a great job of communicating special features and information that will be a part of this years' show. Even if you're not going to MCACN this year, it's fun to see the weekly e-blasts so I thought I'd plug it for them. And.... who knows what cars may show up in the weekly email updates in the weeks leading up to the show Here's a link to the MCACN website homepage. From there you can sign up for email blasts and sign up to get a free .pdf copy of their show program. http://www.mcacn.com/index.htm

I had a great visit to Steve's shop this week. I'm getting to know those guys way too well. Everyone who works there is very enthusiastic and conscientious about the work they do for MMR.
Here's a few progress pics now that the engine has landed in it's cradle.

Looking good. How much longer, or is it going to be like all the TV shows where they are there until 4:00 in the morning of the reveal day putting the final pieces together
?

Here's some interesting tech bytes. The fuel vent pot (what is it really called?) has an interesting mark that appears to say 'Nor 3-1-72' probably indicating where the part was supposed to be shipped after it was made. Adrian is a 3D build date.
The steering column looks like it's had blue painted over the black column. The correct ICX Formula wheel stayed with the car all these years too. The picture of the tub is how she was stored from 2006 until the restoration started, and what she looked like the first day I saw her. Also, some work on the hood. Nothing like a good guide coat on the underside of the hood to smooth things out .
