Thanks for the compliments on the Black Car and good luck with yours. I'll be happy to help in any way I can with your project. There's nothing really new with the Black Car. I'm just driving it every chance I get and enjoying it. Short of doing a full paint job, which isn't going to happen, the only thing left to do is to fit an original front valance. I plan to try to do that this winter if I can find a valance.

The biggest thing new at the Hot Rod Garage is a new young girl that joined the stable. I have bought several cars that appealed to me and which were good cars, but more recently I have been thinking about the cars I wanted when I was younger and didn't have the resources. The first was the Y88 Trans Am. The second arrived today and it is a 1991 Acura NSX. I am pretty pumped to say the least. It's a two owner car with 38,600 miles. The second owner bought it in 1996 and he really cared for and maintained this car.

Everything is up to date maintenance wise, and it's all stock with the exception of the exhaust, shocks and wheels. It's definitely a condition 1 car. Every receipt and document back to the original temporary tag has been saved and is in sleeves in a three ring binder. Everything works and is in excellent shape. Here's a few pictures of my new toy...

LOL - great eye Bruce. It's in the upper garage ( ie my wife's garage) and I think I'll be driving it much more, especially to work, since it will be easier to just in it and go. Despite all the room in the garage, it can be a pain rotating the stock to the front.

Can you tell I have already practiced this line on my wife? She's a saint. BTW - I installed the nos wiper blades on the Black Car this weekend. Thanks for the tip. The filter also is on the way. Thanks again.

You'll have an interesting time transitioning to the powerband in that NSX, coming from your low-end torque, Poncho background.

I had some experience with one we had back when they were new. NO LOW END TORQUE WHATSOEVER. We had an underground garage entrance with a steep ramp and it was really tricky to get that car to move up the ramp without dumping the clutch with the revs around 5,000 rpm. It was a black on black one and looked evil but wasn't very useful otherwise.

Steve - I'm not sure how useful it is, but it's a blast to drive, goes like stink, and corners like it's glued to the road. Actually, it's useful just like the other cars in terms of making you smile, feel happy, and allowing you to turn back the clock to an earlier day. I'm lucky there's no steep ramp to the Hot Rod Garage. Mini me loved it during her first drive this evening, but I have neighborhood school carpool duty in the morning and she has requested the Black Car.

Brew - You show your sorry butt in WV and your glass will never run dry. I forgot to send you an email this weekend, but the new lights worked great.

Boss - Shine comes in either a jug or a jar and Bourbon comes in a barrel. I have plenty of both.

The nsx is a nice addition to the fleet. I've driven a few of them over the years. They are one of the best handling cars ever built, and as easy to live with as a civic. The nsx really changed the mid engine 'supercars' of the day. The nsx could be used daily and is also reliable, unlike the Italian mid engine cars of the time.

I've driven a gxp. Too small (cramped for large guys), and not even in the same league as an nsx. Sorry. That's great if it kicks ass on a track, though.

Well, after disappearing for a while I am back. Things have been bust the last few weeks. Getting ready for winter means topping off the firewood pile, and on top of that at work we have moved into a new building. Last, but not least, these past four days were the Charleston Rod Run and Doo Wop. I took to the show the Yellow Car, the Black Car and the Illegal Alien car. Here's a few pictures of the cars....
