Default 1966 gto

I was curious if anyone knows the answer to this, a friend of mine purchased a 66 goat,tri power , 4 speed, the works, however the pph documention on the car says its a special order, code 1, tiger gold paint, does anyone know about this paint and how many were built, would appreciate a reply if anyone knows the answer.

Tiger Gold was the 1st color on the S.O. chart of exterior colors.
There were 8 S.O. colors offered from Pontiac.
I don't think there are any breakdowns is as far as how many.
That may be a question to send back to PHS?

It's a great color. Really pops in the sunlight. I don't know why it wasn't a standard color, but being rarer makes it even more desirable. Jerry.
