Default 68 Inner fender quality

I need a pair of inner fenders/fenderwells for a 68 GTO.

How is the quality of this aftermarket part?

My resto guy, would not purchase from a local supplier, because he said they were thin and the quality was junk.

Any suggestions is appreciated.
Thanks

I don't know what the quality of the aftermarket part is but as a rule of thumb, if original used parts are readily available I'll almost always go that way.
For that part, there should be quite a few out there...actually, there should be a ton of them around.
If I'm not mistaken, you should also have more than one year to choose from as well. At least '68-'69...possibly up through '72.

Ditto about original versus repop... Try Franks Pontiac Parts in California.

From what I have seen the 68 and 69 are the same, changes for a 70. Of course the info out there could be incorrect.

I agree the best way to go is to find a good original set. Fortunately I am close to Hershey and Carlisle, and will search this fall.
